Dr. Albert Schmid |

Born in 1947, Dr. Albert Schmid studied law at the University of Basel. He worked at the court, the cantonal administration office and in a law firm. In 1973, he was admitted to the Basel Bar. Between 1974 and 1987, Dr. Schmid held various offices in the legal department of the head office of PTT. From 1987 to 1996, Dr. Schmid was in charge of a division of PTT's legal department.
From mid-1996 to mid-1998, he was the General Counsel of Telecom PTT, the predecessor company of Swisscom AG. Since 1998, he has been practicing as an attorney in Zurich. Dr. Albert Schmid has published works in the areas of criminal and media law. Dr. Schmid is Vicepresident of the General Association for Author's and other related rights, Bern. Dr. Albert Schmid speaks German, French, English and Portuguese. Publications:
